Book lovers get ready to empty your wallets at the 31st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) to be held from November 7 to 17. Expect books from 62 countries and 924 publishing houses. Meet award-winning Indian author Arundhati Roy, British historian and biographer Robert Lacey, Algerian  novelist Ahlam Mostaghanmi, Egyptian comedian Adel Imam and actor Yehya Al Fakhrani at the fair.

Enjoy a variety of cultural, literary and culinary events that will take place on the sidelines of SIBF. Unwind with poetry and music, stimulate the  green cells at lectures and seminars. Interact with authors at books signing events.

A special children’s programme will include 200 events. Take your pick from story telling sessions, puppet shows, film shows, art activities, theatre and interactive workshops. The culinary program will feature 25 events dedicated to Indian, Pakistani and Middle Eastern cuisines presented by chefs Nirmeen Hano, Nuashad, Gerard Baker, Zakher, Emmy Reyola, Ayesha Al Tamimi, Sam Clark and Manal Al Alim. The fair will be held at the Expo Centre in Sharjah.
