Timur Ernst Akhmedov, one of Uzbekistan’s celebrated artists, is showcasing his artworks at ME Dubai Hotel. Held in association with Andakulova Gallery, Dubai and Legends Art Club, the exhibition ‘ME tamorphosis of Colours’ is on till October 8^th, 2023. Exploring layers of human emotions and experiences Akhmedov presents a visual journey through a fascinating mix of his whimsical artworks in a kaleidoscope of shades.

Born in 1968 in Tashkent, Akhmedov is one of the pioneers of contemporary art in Uzbekistan. He studied art at the College of Art of Uzbekistan and later at the Department of Illustration at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. His first collective exhibition was held in 1987, followed in 1992 by Myth Zone which he organized with a group of artist friends at the Illkhom Theatre in Tashkent.

Over the years, his work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions world over. His work combines elements of realism and abstraction incorporating bold colours, a dynamic brushwork and rich texture in to his pieces as he often explores themes of identity, culture and society.

The artist’s compositions take cues from his own dreams, depicted on his canvas with majestic characters weaved in stories in a combination of tranquil turquoise, warm ochre and vibrant reds.
